Philadelphia Freedoms Home Match Schedule

Philadelpia Feedoms

Reigning US Open Champion Sloane Stephens leads the charge for the 2018 Freedoms.  Stephens will play for the Freedoms at their home opener on July 19th at Hagan Arena  on the campus of Saint Joseph's University.  She returns to Philly after fans saw her come into her own last season while playing for the Freedoms just weeks before her victory in New York.

At March 13th's WTT Draft, the Freedoms added world top 10 player and 2017 US Open finalist Kevin Anderson to their roster. The team used its first round draft pick on 16-year-old American phenom (and New Jersey native) Amanda Anisimova, along with former Georgia Tech standout Kevin King.
Stephens and the 2018 draft class join returning Philly fan favorites Taylor Townsend and Fabrice Martin, who combined to be the #1 Mixed Doubles team in World TeamTennis last season, along with Head Coach Craig Kardon.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better result, I had all my picks in order, and we got every player we wanted,” said Kardon. “Getting the world’s ninth-ranked player in the third round of the draft is unbelievable.”
