How It Works...   Register for Tennithon 2005 and you will receive a sponsor sheet that enables you to solicit your friends, family and neighbors to raise money for the tennis you'll play on the big night.  After checking in for the event, players hit the courts for twenty-minute shifts to play as many games as possible.

Off the court, players keep busy with movies, music and video games, and enough food to feed a small army.  Toward the later hours of the event, play periods are extended to thirty minutes.  You'll be able to play with friends, or find new partners to challenge your skills.

What Is It?   The Tennithon is an annual event supporting junior tennis in this area.  Proceeds benefit many local programs, from a grass roots inner- city instructional programs to Delaware's own Competitive Training Center, where top juniors are trained for tournament success.  It offers juniors a chance to play tons of tennis, win some great prizes, and meet new friends!

Players are encouraged to stay the night and play as much as possible.  The more games you play, the more money you can raise for a chance to win a new Volkl, Prince, or Wilson racquet of your choice.

Payers not staying overnight will be allowed to leave until midnight.

For security reasons, the facility doors will be locked at midnight.

Anyone leaving after midnight must be accompanied by an adult.

Why Should I Play?  Not only is Tennithon a great chance to play tons of tennis, hang out with your friends and stay up all night, but all the proceeds raised will benefit the Delaware Tennis Foundation.  The D.T.F. provides financial support for tennis programs all over Delaware -- from a grass roots inner-city instructional program to the Competitive Training Center, where the state's top Juniors are trained for tournament success.

How Much Does I Cost?   The registration fee is $40.00.  Checks should be made payable to D.T.F.

What Should I Do?  Sign up now and get your friends to come along -- more players = more fun.  Start by calling 302-421-2012.  We limit our overnight entrants.
