Spring 2005 Delaware College Notables

Congratulations to:

Air Force:

- Shannon Buck (Junior), Dover, DE is currently ranked #60 in the nation and has complied a 24-2 record mostly at #1 singles, helping to earn him all Mountain West Conference Honors

- Katherine Bushey (Junior), Wilmington, DE continues her success as the #1 singles and doubles player for Air Force

Arcadia University:

- Tim Fitzgerald (Freshman) Wilmington, DE, played #1 singles and doubles for Arcadia.  He and his doubles partner, Nic Cocco, won the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) title and were named 2nd team all conference.  Tim was honored with both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards for the entire PAC conference.


University of Delaware:

- John Tully (Senior) Pittsford, NY, tied the UD All- Time Career Singles Wins at 57 playing mostly #1 singles all 4 years and was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) 2nd Team All- Conference

- Jason Hanschmann (Freshman) Palatine, IL broke the record for UD most singles wins by a freshman (18-7)

- Hanschmann/Jesse Carl (Junior) Northbrook, IL earned Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the week for April 20

- Susan Pollack and Alexa Dragonette (both freshman) from Wyomissing, PA earned CAA Singles players of the week for March 23 and April 20 respectively

University of Richmond:

- Derek Schwandt (Senior) Kennett Square, PA earned  Atlantic 10 All-Conference Honors as the #1 singles and doubles player.  In addition, Derek was named to the A10 All-Academic team
