Delaware Junior Tennis Competitive Training Center

What is the Competitive Training Center?... The CTC is a weekly clinic held on Saturdays from the beginning of October to the end of February at the Brandywine Racquet Club on Route 202. It is run by the area’s top coaches and is designed to teach the area’s top players. Once accepted, players are generally separated by age and ability level. This comprehensive program emphasizes strategy, mechanics, mental toughness, physical fitness, and goal setting.

Who is chosen to participate?... A very limited number of juniors can expect acceptance into the program. The top talent in Delaware is considered first, with outsiders being accepted at the coaches’ discretion. Matchplay results, rankings, and input from pros & coaches are key factors in determining who is accepted. Sportsmanship and the ability to work with others are just as important in determining acceptance as well.

How can I register?.. Fill out the application form and send to: Junior Tennis CTC, P.O. Box 3920, Wilmington, DE 19807 by August 20. A panel of teaching pros will meet to review all applications and determine who to accept into the program. An application form must be filled out for consideration into the program. Once accepted, invitees must pay a fee to participate.
