Adult Ranking Requirements
To qualify for a Delaware ranking, all players must be members in good standing of the United States Tennis Association.
Adults must have legal residence in, work year round in, or be a yearlong member of a club in Delaware. If there are any questions as to whether or not an individual meets eligibility requirements, the matter will be decided by the Delaware District Executive Committee.
All designated state championship tournaments will be weighted double in the computer ranking system.
For a men’s and women’s open singles ranking, a player must participate in at least two (2) USTA/MS/DD sanctioned tournaments that are open to all players of all ages and win at least two (2) matches.
For a men’s and women’s open doubles ranking, a player must participate in at least two (2) USTA/MS/DD sanctioned tournaments, with the same partner, that are open to all players of all ages and win at least 2 matches.
For a mixed doubles open ranking, players must play in at least two (2) USTA/MS/DD sanctioned tournaments, with the same partner, that are open to all players of all ages and win at least two (2) matches.
To be ranked in the age categories, a player must play in the designated state championship for that age group (if held).
The USTA/MS/DD uses the USTA STAR computer-ranking program to determine adult and junior rankings. This program has been determined to be objective and fair to all players in its analysis of the numerical values associated with match results and ranking calculations.
