2004 Year End Level of Play Ratings

From Sally Baird on 11/23/04:

The year end ratings were published to the internet today.  Go to http://national.usta.com and choose "Find a Rating" on the right side of the screen.  You can also click the link below or copy it and paste it into your web browser.

All appeals should be e-mailed to me at baird@ms.usta.com.  If the appeal is a medical appeal, I must have letters from doctors containing the prognosis and the time line for improvement.  Appeals can be granted automatically if the rating in hundredths of the player is no more than .05 above the requested level.  For example, I can grant an appeal to return to 3.5 if the player's rating is 3.55 but not if it is 3.56.  Anyone who wants to appeal up has the same parameter.  If a player's rating in hundredths is 2.95 or higher I can grant to 3.5.  Appeals that can be automatically granted will be changed and the player notified with 3 days of the receipt of the e-mail request.  Medical appeals will take a minimum of two weeks.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me.  Happy Thanksgiving.
