DD Junior Ranking Requirements:
Any Junior who resides, goes to school, or has parents working in Del. is eligible for a Delaware Jr. ranking if they meet the following criteria:
- Junior players must play in the Del. State Jr. Tournament
or the Oscar Sebastian Jr. tournament (Points for these tournaments will count 1.5 times towards their ranking.
- A player must have at least one win in a tournament to qualify for a ranking. The new points-per-round ranking system encourages junior players to play a minimum of 3 tournaments to receive a maximum number of points.
- The results from a player’s tournaments (top 3) will
count for ranking purposes.
- Winners will receive an additional 30 points and a finalist will receive 20 points.
- Players that participate in unranked tournaments will receive half the points awarded.
It is the responsibilty of the player to check the ranking lists and report any potential errors in a timely manner to the Junior Player Ranking Chairperson.
Grants for Juniors (Who Play National Tournaments):
- Financial aid (up to $500.00 in a calendar year) is available for junior players who meet eligibility requirements and play in "endorsed" national tournaments.
- Eligibility is limited to players who reside in Delaware, whose parent(s) is employed full time in Delaware, or who attend school full time in Delaware.
If there are any question(s) as to whether a player meets eligibility requirements, the matter will be reviewed / decided by the Delaware District Executive Committee.

DD Adult Ranking Requirements:
To qualify for a Delaware ranking, adult players must be members in good standing of the USTA. Adults must have legal residence in, work year round in, or be a yearlong member of a club in Delaware.
If there are any questions as to whether or not an individual meets eligibility requirements, the individual must contact the Adult Player Ranking Chairperson to let him/her know of your eligibility status by October 31, 2012.
- All designated state championship tournaments will be weighted double in the computer ranking system.
- For a men’s and women’s open singles ranking, a player must participate in at least two USTA/MS/DD sanctioned tournaments that are open to all players of all ages and win at least two matches.
- For a men’s and women’s open doubles ranking, a player must participate in at least two USTA/MS DD sanctioned tournaments (with the same partner) that are open to players of all ages and win at least 2 matches.
- For a mixed doubles open ranking, players must play in at least two USTA/MS/DD sanctioned tournaments (with the same partner) that are open to all players of all ages and win at least two matches.
- To be ranked in a specific age category, a player must play in at least two sanctioned tournaments for that age group (if held).
It is the responsibilty of the player to check the ranking lists and report any potential errors in a timely manner to the Ranking Chairperson.
USTA/MS Sectional Ranking Requirements:
- Any adult striving for a sectional ranking should submit a complete player record form to the appropriate sectional coordinator before October 31, 2012.
In order to be eligible for a sectional ranking your USTA/MS membership must be current through December 31, 2012. For more details on a sectional ranking, please consult the USTA/MS Annual Directory.
