DD Teams Advance to Nationals


Congratulations to the following Delaware District teams that advanced onto USTA League National competition: Fifty-Five Fun (55+ 8.0 Women) captained by Kathy Bevans & Robin LaPerle will represent Middle States in Surprise, AZ from October 31 – November 2, and the Burt team (65+ 7.0 Men) captained by Bruce Burt will compete in Surprise, AZ from March 19 – 22, 2015. Delaware District Award Nominations

Do you know anyone who has done an outstanding job promoting local tennis either on or the court? The Delaware District is currently accepting awards nominations for its 2014 DD Annual Awards brunch. Categories include: Family, Pro, Organization (both profit and non-profit), Web Site, Tournament Director, Community Tennis Association, Media, Community Tennis Coach among others. The USTA Middle States awards are given annually to acknowledge individuals and organizations who provide benefits to the tennis communit yboth on and off the courts. (Each MS award recipient and MS No. 1 ranked player will be recognized at their appropriate District award ceremony.) Fall Club Tennis Volunteers Needed


This fall the USTA DD is sponsoring the After School Club Tennis program at various schools throughout the state. This program is run for 6 weeks. A certified pro or coach is provided for each location. We need volunteers to help these pros/coaches with the students on court. Volunteers will supervise drills and match play and help organize the groups. Training is provided. The program will start the week of September 15. Tennis Super Camp


Over 45 people came out to raise money for the Delaware Tennis Foundation while sharpening their tennis skills! Nine of the top local pros including Jim Flesch, Dave Marshall, Rob Wirth and Ed McQuillin who organized the event volunteered their time to teach clinics to participants. Read More

2013 League Ratings

Year-end 2013 final USTA League ratings are out. Players can view their ratings by clicking on the below link and typing their name in the box under “Find NTRP Rating Info”. http://tennislink.usta.com/Leagues/Common/Default.aspx.
